Our process

Owner-operator Cliff Hemingway treats stone restoration as a craft: precise, careful work that goes beyond the surface. Each stone type gets the technique that suits it.

  1. Grinding

    Imperfections and uneven surfaces are taken out, preparing the stone for restoration, whether it is marble or travertine.

  2. Honing

    The surface is refined, roughness smoothed away and the stone's natural texture brought out.

  3. Polishing

    The final step brings out the stone's own beauty with a reflective finish.
